What would it mean for someone to dwell in the past or in dreams? What good usage will it do being alive and not really live? Yes, the past has had some impact in our present, and perhaps the future, but amazingly, it doesn't have control over the day of today. If we made a mistake in the past, we have the moment today not to end it, but start fresh. Our future will not entirely reflect on our past, either. It will just be another present moment.
