Our actions in the present day do in fact define our future. What perhaps many haven't exactly pondered over, is that tomorrow is the future. It doesn't matter whether we do things today to shape our "future", to shape the future we refer to as tomorrow. That tomorrow will soon be the today. That future, will soon be the present moment. It is unnecessary to believe the future is created by actions of today, regardless of that of tomorrow, but it would be foolish not to believe we not only define our futures, but also changes it.
