Although we may not realize many factors we associate with are dependent on others, it is indeed factual. Such things include performances and attitudes. They go hand in hand. If one portrays bad performance, they'll portray bad attitude. When one portrays bad attitude, bad performance will show. Improving one factor is improving both factors.
