Student Success Statement #40

"So often, in our quest to be more popular and to be part of the "inn-group,"we lose sight of things that are far more important."
{Sean Covey}

I don't necessarily believe we all want to be popular, and we can't always blame popularity whenever we lose sight of important things to us, or even ourselves. Sometimes, those things we thought were so important to us, never really were. Obviously, if they were so important to us, we would never let things interfere. The thought of becoming popular can actually get to our heads and make us start acting crazy, but we are capable enough to react on time (most cases) and change our ways.
We sometimes think, by hanging out with the captains of cheerleading squad or football teams will make you popular, but it will only make you infamous among your groupf of geeks, your group of real friends.
